Audit Services
An audit provides the highest level of assurance. It is a methodical review and objective examination of the financial statements, including the verification of specific information as determined by the auditor or as established by general practice.
Our work includes a review of internal controls, testing of selected transactions and account balances, and verification with third parties. Based on our findings, we opine whether the financial statements are fairly stated and free of material misstatements.
Review Services
A review provides the second highest level of assurance and consists of an evaluation of your company’s financial statements using management inquiries, analytical procedures, and our knowledge of the industry and your business. The scope of a review is less than an audit, and it provides “limited assurance” which implies that nothing came to our attention requiring modification of your financial statements.
Compilation Services
A compilation is the third type of risk tolerance determination and requires the assembling of financial data from your accounting records and presenting it in the form of financial statements. Information is presented as “representations of management” and we express no opinion or assurance on the financial statements. Compilations don’t require us to perform inquiries of management or analytical procedures. Instead, we rely on our knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of your business.
Additional Services
Peer Reviews
We provide timely, efficient, and cost-effective peer review services for firms serving businesses in ag production, ag business, construction, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, not-for-profit, renewable energy, and retail.
Our system reviews are a holistic test of compliance with quality control standards for a specific one-year period. As a peer reviewer, we evaluate your firm’s compliance with quality control procedures in a variety of areas.
Our engagement reviews test compliance with professional standards for a limited selection of accounting engagements during a one-year period. Our report concludes on your firm’s ability to comply only on those specific engagements we reviewed and not on your firm’s entire system of quality control.

Minnesota Bioincentive Program
Created to encourage commercial-scale production of advanced biofuels, renewable chemicals, and biomass thermal energy; this program sets payment rates, criteria for minimum production levels, and standards for the sourcing of biomass feedstock.
To receive incentive payments, production faculties within Minnesota must begin producing biofuels, renewable chemicals, or biomass thermal energy before June 30, 2025; meet quarterly minimum production levels; use biomass from agricultural or forestry sources or the organic portion of solid waste; source 80 percent of renewable biomass from Minnesota; and harvest agricultural and forestry biomass in ways that do not harm the environment.
